It’s January! What’s Coming Up at ALSC?

Now that the holidays are behind us and we’re getting back up to speed with regular routines, it’s a great time to highlight a couple events ALSC has coming up. Full Speed Ahead with Día January is the month when we begin to see a big uptick in Día programming being added to the national program registry. YAY! If your library hosts Día events each year (thanks!), we look forward to seeing your events. If you’re new to Día, learn more on our website and in this post, announcing the kick-off of the 2026 campaign. The official name is El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day). The initiative is observed annually on April 30. But, since Día is an opportunity to emphasize the importance of children, literacy, and diverse books, languages, and cultures, anytime is a great time to celebrate! To submit program(s) to the…
