The nation’s top law enforcement agency has been “vanquished.”
That’s the argument Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Aaron Davis put forth in their new book about the Justice Department.
They say the decline began in President Trump’s first term. Then it got worse during the Biden presidency. And today, Donald Trump and his lieutenants are taking a “wrecking ball” to the DOJ.
Host Mary Louise Kelly recently sat down with them to discuss their reporting. A version of this interview first aired on NPR’s national security podcast, Sources & Methods.
