USBBY President Wendy Stephens says it best: “The IBBY regional in Boston is going to be a phenomenal opportunity for some really incisive conversations with thought leaders in the area of children’s literature. No other event comes close for the intimacy but also the attention and inquiry devoted to the field.“ I’ve attended several regional conferences, and they are different from many other library related events. USBBY is an organization that bridges disciplines, and these conferences are attended by teachers, school librarians, professors and scholars of children’s literature, education professionals, and writers and illustrators.
